And The Lord Said Go!
Cold iron in my heart, warm lead in my words,
From where His soul came they sung heavenly chords
I cannot be quiet, I cannot be tame,
My Lord knows for He has accounted of my shame
My hands are heavy; my thoughts refuse the still,
Eventually you will learn how great His will
I am sad, so sad am I for you,
Little did I realize my actions would reach so few
A task I have is a momentous task He gave,
“Please go, speak of Me living beyond My grave.”
Joy must wait, in saving life there is no later,
Before death bows, will you please meet our Creator?
I am not here to comfort, I came to warn
Those who turn from Him shall ye be forlorn
Salt from my sight must be confusing your plight,
You do not see the coming eternal fight
Furnaces glowing red give light so hot and low,
Anguish melts there with the many souls who sow
My friend we have but only one chance in He
The one and only who laid down His life for thee
In others we see ourselves, mirrors to Him are we
Brothers and sister together, happily ever after shall we be.
Amen
